ANN ARBOR, MI – Channeling a decade of teachers’ frustrations into a song performed for the Ann Arbor school board, Gabby Taylor was a bit overwhelmed when her chorus was met with backing vocals from more than 100 of her colleagues.

Taylor’s song illustrated teachers’ dissatisfaction with wage freezes over the past 12 years as the Ann Arbor Education Association began contract talks with the district Wednesday, Dec. 11.
