Educators, children, parents, and families are encouraged to submit questions for a special town hall, jointly hosted by CNN and Sesame Street, about going back to school in the coronavirus era.
The special, set to air on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. ET, will be moderated by CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, along with Sesame Street’s Big Bird, and CNN anchor Erica Hill.

If it seems as if we just did this, that’s because it has only been a week since U.S. District Court Judge Barbara J. Rothstein ruled in Washington state that the DeVos plan to send additional CARES money to private schools was an attempt to thwart “Congress’s obvious intent.”

Detroit’s public school system has reached a deal with its teachers’ union to avert a strike over safety concerns.
The deal includes a provision that there will be no more than 20 students in a classroom, and teachers can choose to teach all online or in person.
Teachers will also get a $750 hazard pay bonus for each semester they teach in person.
