Forecasters have been talking about Sunday’s big winter storm for days.

And while we know it’s expected to have blizzard-like pockets in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan, and bring a mix of rain, snow and even ice to other parts of the state, the one thing the entire state will have in common on Sunday is dangerously high winds.

Wind gusts across Michigan could top 60 mph in some places Sunday, MLive Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa has said.

This means a high risk for widespread and long-term power outages across the state, according to the National Weather Service.
