Where were these guys in 2011? That’s the year the State legislature crushed teachers in Michigan.

One of the most important duties that school districts perform is hiring teachers. Each and every year local school districts fill vacancies created by retirements, transfers and increased enrollment. Teachers are where the proverbial “rubber meets the road” in schools. Their responsibility to teach all students and help every student learn is the nucleus of the mission of every public school in America. We all know the impact a teacher has on the development of every student academically, personally and socially. The responsibility and potential impact of a teacher is tremendous and finding the best people for the job is imperative. Michigan schools are faced with a growing problem of finding those teachers and finding a solution could be tough.
